Yooo what's up everybody I hope y'all are doing good! This is the first DWR newsletter. I'm not gonna spam but I'll probably put one out a month or so. There's been a HUGE update to the site! Now you can add 30 tracks to your profiles in any audio format you like. It will be converted to MP3 on the backend because I gotta keep server space as low as possible right now, but you no longer need to already have MP3s to upload. This will be changing in the future to allow streaming any format once I get a larger server, so stay tuned. You can also add tracks to a Project with album art, so if you have an album or EP you can post them up. I’m currently working on the UI for uploads and projects to make it more intuitive. It’s not crazy complicated, but it can definitely be streamlined. That’s at the top of my list right now. I added a little Wall section on profiles where you can post messages and people can comment on them. Twitter’s got tweets — we got Chirps! There’s also now a Follow button on profiles so you can follow anyone you wanna keep up with. When someone you follow posts a Chirp, a new track, or a project, you’ll see it pop up in your Following timeline. The Chirp link on the page is the global timeline, so anything posted by any profile will appear there whether you're following them or not. The Bunker is the message board, and now you can add tracks to posts or comments directly from your profile. If you wanna share something right there, you can. All the growth here at DWR has always been just word of mouth, so I really appreciate anyone who’s helping spread the word and letting others know what we’ve got going on over here in our hidden corner of the Internet. It really means the world!!
